Three spiders, one web

A little over a month ago the sixth Spider-Man movie, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” was released with massive success, grossing over $1.37 billion world wide. The film has also created some buzz around the school.

Many people tried to see it as soon as possible to avoid spoilers, like junior Isaac Carter. “I saw it that weekend with my family.” But did the film live up to Carter’s expectations? Carter explained, “I thought it was pretty good. It was one of the best.” It makes sense that this ensemble movie would be one of his favorites. “I don’t really have a favorite Spider-Man. I like them all. It’s just been too long since I’ve seen all the movies.” The movie also set up things for future Marvel movies that he has been looking forward to. “One of my favorite parts was when Doctor Strange was closing the, like, rips in the multiverse and I can’t wait to see more of the multiverse explored in Doctor Strange’s new movie.”

The excitement for the film is greater for some than others. As senior Zach Trout explained, “I really, really liked it! I saw it opening night.” The film was home to many twists and turns. The most shocking part of the film for many was when the previous Spider-Men, played by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, came back to reprise their roles. “I thought the most shocking part of the film was when Tobey and Andrew came through the portals. My favorite Spider-Man was Tobey and my favorite villain was Doctor Octopus. I mean I’m biased cause those were the first Spider-Man movies I saw. ‘Spider-Man: 2’ is my favorite Spider-Man movie, but ‘No Way Home’ is a close second.”

With the love for the previous Spider-Man movies, many are ready to see them again. Trout has heard some rumors that have piqued his interest. “I heard a rumor somewhere that Andrew Garfield is going to be in ‘Morbius’ and they’re going to make a third ‘Amazing Spider-Man’ movie.” With all this hype, fans can’t wait to see what’s in store for the world-favorite, web-slinging hero.
